Front End Alignment

Recommended Posts

Heres the deal, a while ago I bought the 2" rough country level kit. At the time I didn't think I wanted the full 2" so I chucked the blocks up in my milling machine and took 1/8" off.

Skip ahead several months and I decided I wanted a little more lift in the front so I got some 1/8" stainless steel and machined out some nice shims to go under the blocks to get my full 2" lift back. Now my question is do I need another front alignment just because the 1/8" of added material??

I would Bob,Just to "play it safe" and not ruin a set of tires.

remember - the lift up front is 2:1 ratio, so you really added 1/4" of height which is enough to put your alignment off enough that you should have it checked. if you have an NTB near you, i would go for their lifetime alignment. it's usually $99.00 and i use them for oil changes as well so i get my money's worth from the alignment for sure (every other oil change)!!
