Removing Cross Bars In Roof Rack

Hey guys

 

On my 04 burb I want to remove - not the roof rack itself but the cross bars that slide. I know how to slide them by lifting the levers but how to I completely remove them ?

Most roof racks require you to remove the end pieces in order to remove the crossbars. At least that's how it was on my Explorer company sled and my Jeep. On each one I had to remove the endcap / trim to get them off.
