There must be some kind of film on it causing it to fog. It's just a piece of glass. Try changing to another window cleaner type / brand and see if that helps any.

Yeah ....I know windex and other cleaners leave a film and wiping with a dry towel afterwards helps a little. Try invisible glass. Its a spray can works well

Invisible glass is the best on the market! I use to use castle all the time, but them i tried Invi. Glass and it blows castle away!

Are your vents set up to circulate air or draw in outside air? That can make a difference. Try using outside air next time it rains.

ALSO... If you use Armor-All on your interior and park in the sun, it will evaporate and leave a kryptonite shield on the glass that is a bear to get off. Make sure any protectant you use gets wiped completely dry and you may alleviate a lot of problems - Just a thought.

Surprised nobody even mentioned this...

How about your heater core starting to leak coolant?? When heater cores go, they always fog the windshield up, AND leave a mess on the passenger floorboard.

Check your carpets...see if they are sticky...

Good point. If you're talking about your 98 it's possible. Also make sure your AC compressor is coming on when you hit up your defroster for some action. It dries out the air. Otherwise it'll take forever to clear the windshield.

like others have said make sure you are using outside air, if you are recirculating your moist humid air it wont clear the fog, also run your A/C and that will help remove moisture. unless like zembonez says you have a coolant leak, that should clear up (pun intended) the problem.
