6.2l & 6spd Tranny?

Convinced the wife to get the Yukon Denali mainly to get teh 6.2L engine and the 6 speed tranny. Not disappointed at all!

Wondering when the light duty trucks will be getting this combination? I've been holding off on even looking at new truck until at least the 6 speed becomes available. Any word?

Thanks Cueva! Encouraging news.

Now if GM would only give me heated AND cooled leather seats...and give them to me in the LT packages

I'm dreaming, I know...

Yep,Coming next year.

Just remember the 6-spd will be across the board on all models with the 6.0/6.2,and on all models with the 5.3 except the extended-cab short-bed models (C/K10553)

However the 6.2 will only be available in the crew-cab LTZ trim level trucks.

The 4.3-V6 and 4.8-V8 models are still limited to the 4-spd.

Of course, the 6.2 w/ the 6-speed is already available in the Sierra Denalis, too.

+1 Technically the answer to your question is since 2007 NNBS 1500 Sierra Denali Crew 5'8" bed 2WD and AWD in Black, White, Silver Birch

I've got the 5.3 in a Crew Cab Sierra 07, and I've got a Yukon Denali 07 for the wife and the 6.2 liter 6 speed combo is awesome. The 5.3 does get the job done in the truck, althought I would not mind what's under the hood of the Yukon.

Only if you pay extra for for the "AWD/let's-make-it-less-fun" option.
