I am looking for suggestions on what horn to purchase to replace my stock horn on my 02 Sierra , I was looking into the Wolo Big Boy Horns but am not sure if thats a good horn or not, my stock horn sound like a beetle horn and not like a truck horn, I am looking to keep it simple and not something that goes on the roof as I am not one for drilling holes into my truck, any suggestions or opinions are appreciated.

Your truck has two horns on it from the factory (dual tone, hi-low). It's very common for the passenger side horn to stop working due to exposure to water and freezing/thawing. This would make the horn single tone and it would sound kinda like a beetle horn instead of the "real" car horn. The exact replacement for either side is sold at Pep Boys and other auto parts stores for about $15 under the FIAMM brand name...this is the EXACT same part you pay $50 for at the dealership (the dealer comes in different packaging and includes a vehicle specific mounting bracket the you do not need since you already have the brackets on the existing horns). If you don't want that, I'd suggest a set of Bosch air horns...these will fit under the hood of the truck but will require some drilling for the new brackets and some wiring expertise to hook up the air pump, etc.

$1185.00 PLUS the air supply of $589.00 = $1774.00 (not including the installation).

I like 46129

No matter how loud the bass is thumpin' his rapping @ss will hear my "bass".

i would say get train horns also as a second horn..... but as a primary i would go w/ a wolo bad boy....

The train horns i got (hornblasters HB4H 4 horn kit) is way to loud for a regular horn and would be sure to get you in trouble using it all the time.

I use me regular horn first on someone and if they dont hear it or respond to it, i let em have it.....

on the air horn as secondary.

Sometimes a little toot is all that is needed.

Like when picking up your girlfriend.

You 'toot' at your girlfriend, when you go to pick 'er up? She doesn't mind getting into a stinkin' truck, after that??

If you're going to get train horns you have to go all out and get the K3's or K5's. Here's a video of the fun you can have.

Oh for God's sake...

If you're thinking there too much money, think about them next time someone cuts you off or is riding to slow in the fast lane.

I totally agree with that, I am a volunteer firefighter and nothing urks me more then when someone pulls out in front of me while responding to a call or when I am responding to a call the person in front of me doesn't have the niceness in em to pull over and let me pass, I was looking at the grover firetruck horns actually for my truck as they sound nice but it's all a matter of pick and choose right now.

K5la's are nice... but not many ppl have 2 + grand to drop on a horn for there vehicle...

the HB4H that i got is a 1/4 of the price but yet it lets out a hell of a great noise... heres a vid that some guys did with the same horn i got...

you can get the horn on hornblasters.com and then piece the compressor / tank together on ebay for cheaper than a whole kit.
