YZINGERR Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 I have old 104 octane race gas that has been premixed with 2 stroke racing oil (synthetic). Curiousity has questioned whether or not to put this in my gas tank. I used to on my old Carb'ed Ford, but a FI, tight tolerance truck slows my progress. Would it hurt ANYTHING putting it into a FULL tank of gas? Premix is 32:1 in 5 gallons, so in a 23 gallon tank it should be diluted to about 576:1 I think. My only concern was the injectors or possibly gumming up the fuel pump or something like that. Better than dumping it.. especially in these $4.60 a gallon days (well race gas is about $10.00+ a gallon)

It really eased the transition from 2 to 4 stroke getting to smell exhaust. I've never personally run it through a vehicle with FI but I know people who have without any negative side effects.
mkelly Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 Is the gas leaded? If the gas is recent and it is designed for mx use then it is probably not leaded.
YZINGERR Posted July 27, 2008 Author Posted July 27, 2008 btw, is that an 06 kx250f in your sig? It is an 07 KX250F, close though! Sold it. P.s. The fuel is leaded... will that gum the cat?
Zembonez Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 IF the fuel is leaded, do not under any circumstances put it in your tank. Cats are way too expensive to gamble with and a small amount of leaded fuel can do a lot of harm.

VMax2007 Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 Just use it in your lawnmower or some other gas-powered equipment.
YZINGERR Posted July 27, 2008 Author Posted July 27, 2008 i forgot about the leaded part, thanks guys!
