My badges of course...

Will get some pics up probably tomorrow after a good cleaning and waxing.

Only problems I'm having is where the Chevrolet badge on the tailgate was, there is some very very dried up old ass glue that does not seem to want to come off, and where the Silverado and LS stickers where there is now lines around them from what I'm assuming is a build up of wax.

Like I said, will get pics up probably tomorrow and if anyone has any tips, tricks, hints, ideas for the little problems I have that would be awesome.

Good to hear you shaved the badges, these truck look really nice without any badges at all. Like Daddy said use some goo gone and you're probably going to be there for a while. Post some pics so we could see how it looks, what about the side moldings? If I had your truck, I would also take them off.

Goo Gone or 3M Adhesive Remover then use a clay bar to remove the "shadows".

haha thanks guys.. yea ive been using googone and so far its been over an hour on the Chevrolet residue, gonna try some other stuff I have and see if it works at all and maybe try the clay bar on that too...

As for the pic in my sig, that was just a photoshop job I did and right now the Z71 stickers are still on, gonna leave those on for now and see if I wanna keep them or take them off.

And as far as the molding goes, thats gonna stay just because I like how it gives the right amount of chrome on the side.

Good job leaving the molding on. I think no molding looks waaay to plain on trucks without fender flares. (even though mine sits exactly that way right now ) And if the goo gone doesn't get rid of the 'ghost' emblems, try a coarse polishing/rubbing compound. I had to use some of that when I took off the 4x4 stickers.

Seems like this site is the complete opposite of GMFS in regards to moldings.

On my 2006 I took the moldings off and I think it looked way better like that, on my V-Max I wouldn't take off the moldings though because it will look too plain. I took the moldings off because without the moldings it still has shape on my 2006 Silverado. The moldings are pretty cool though, because they stop door dings they are very effective. Moldings look good, but IMO I would take them off on a Classic Silverado or Sierra, not on the GMT-900 trucks.

I used goo gone on my emblems too but I too had left what you had was a little line of residue. I used some WD-40 and it came off. Then another spray of goo gone to remove the left over WD and then some quick detailer to finish it off. I just finished doing the same about 3 hours ago.

cant wait to see it when u get some pics up, i agree with everybody else about the goo gone, i used it on my firebird when i debadged it and it worked pretty good.

The stuff thats still leftover from behind the Chevrolet emblem is being a B!TCH... tried everything we have here and its still not all gone... I didn't have much success either for the 'indent' lines as my mom is calling them from around the LS and Silverado emblems.

Taking the truck to the dealer tomorrow for a fuel filter change and tire rotation and while I'm there gonna see what my detailing guy (former co-worker) can do to get rid of that crap.

EDIT: GooGone did very well every where BUT that crap that is behind where the Chevrolet emblem was. Should have some pics up sometime tomorrow evening of how she looks. Really won't be much different from whats in my sig other then still having the Z71 stickers.
