What is the Liter(SP?) to CI displacement equivalent on these engines?

Let's start with....(I know I'll get heck from the hardcore chevy ppl)

-5.4L Triton

- 7.3L PowerStroke

- 6.0L Duramax (I think that one's already answered, but just making sure)

- 8.1L Vortec

And what are the Liter equivalents of the CI engines?

-454

-350

-302

Those are the engines I can think about right now.

This stuff is way to easy General.  Just simple conversions....

5.4 Triton is approx 330 CI

7.3 PSD is approx 444 CI

6.6 Duramax is approx 396 CI  (assuming you want Duramax and not Vortec 6.0)

8.1 Vortec is approx 494 CI

454 is 7.4L

350 is 5.7L

302 is 5.0L

The "5.0" Mustangs are really re-named Boss 302s. Right?

No on the 302. They have the same displacement, but are very different engines.

:D

For the future:

There are 61.02 cubic inches / liter

There are a 1000 cubic centimeters / liter

There are 0.0164 liters / cubic inch

There are 16.4 cubic centimeters / cubic inch

Please keep in mind that the motor displacements are generally rounded off to a whole cubic inch or a tenth of a liter so the values you get need to be treated similarly.

I've got this REALLY great conversion software that calculates all sorts of conversions for things like volume, distance, temperature, speed, acceleration, etc.  It's even able to take custom calculations if there are units you're looking for that aren't already available.  It's so easy, my wife even uses it for measuring ingredients for cooking

Let me know where to e-mail it, I'll gladly drop you a copy.  It's been virus checked, so you shouldn't worry.

I knew it was 61.xx to convert cubes to liters, but I thought it was more like 61.42.  :D  I know, I know it's minor details.  :D

I think the techincal measurement of the 8.1 is something is like 495.6.
