Well, I Traded In The Yukon Denali Today...

...and bought a brand new '08 Cadillac CTS!

 

Wasn't exactly 100% planned... But they had one last loaded White Diamond 3.6l DI CTS RWD (Lux level 1, 2, All-season performance (FE2) package, and 5.1 Sat Nav system) and I got a great deal. It was a little sad to see the YD go, but what are ya gonna do? The build quality, comfort, handling, everything, is just awesome.

 

Here are a few pics I took in the drive way. Sorry about the poor quality, I just drove it home from the dealer a few minutes ago!

Nice! I've been thinking about a CTS for a while now... Maybe for my 'next' car, whenever that happens... I'm curious to see what the two new models are going to look like, when they hit the streets.

Wayne, Wayne, Wayne...if you hated the Jesse "Hack" tune that much, you could have just replaced it with a Blackbear tune, you didn't need to trade it in?

No leveling, the badges are staying put, and the trunk already has carpet.

 

MSRP was right at $48k. I was originally looking at an identical '09, but it was about $50k because of the new MY price increases. Only change was a painted onstar/XM antenna. And the seat made noises in that one.

 

So after GMS and $2k rebate, that was down to about $40k or so. Got $20k for the YD in trade - best I could get around here - and then we're at $36k. How could I say no?

Eh, Truck... SUV...it's all in the same GMT-800 family.

 

The car has 18's w/ Michelin's, so they're sorta Jeff friendly. But no mods.... "planned." Well, I am planning on NOT putting on a chrome bug shield.

 

I will have the dealer put on some tint and maybe look into a lockpick at some point - depending on how annoying the park-only features get.
