Nerf Bars

People that have had nerf bars on in winter can you tell me where the snow gets packed up?

on my old truck the snow would freeze right to the rockers...

now my new truck has nerf bars, but does the snow stick to that or does it get wedged in between the nerf bar and the rockers?

im wondering weather i should get some molded mud flaps from husky for the winter and take them off in summer

It goes in between the rocker and nerf bars and to the nerf bars on mine. Not a big deal really...just kick it out with the boot before you get in.

I'm looking at the Husky mudflaps for rocks. Snow frozen to the rockers isn't a big deal for me...but, your rockers are a bit fancier than mine so I see your concern.

its not that but i am going to have my rocker on the drivers side replaced like mid-winter so i dont want it to rust anymore than it has to

Yeah I got a fair amount of snow in the bars but I park inside a garage at work 4 stories underground so it stays pretty warm. As a result the snow melts off :)

Even with the mubflaps it gets packed in between the bar and rocker, the back corners of the bars get everything. the mudflaps just are not long enough. the only way to stay clean in the winter months is to just not be in the winter. if you are in a area that uses a lot of salt. the mudflaps keep a lot of crap out of the door jams.

I don't worry about it, it melts off when I get home. My nerfs look like hell the way it is I could care less at this point.

depends on the bars. I had the rounded ones and it would cake right at the bend and under the rockers. After driving I would just go kick it off. My new bars dont really hold any of the snow

I had nerf bars on my 04 and snow/ice built up and the bars rusted, i took them off and now can power-wash underneath much better. Nerf bars are a dirt/salt catcher. Good riddance.
