i was thinking about changing gears to 4:10 cause i would think it would help me with my bigger tires and more torque cause i have heavy loads, trailers, and just for wheelin. was wondering if i can even do that or if what im thinkin is rite. thanks guys

You can do it, but 4.10's are so close to what you already have. I am guessing you have 3.73's, but even if you have the 3.42's, 4.10's aren't too far off. I would go with at least a 4.56. It will bring you closer to stock with the new 35's. If you plan to go bigger down the road (3" body lift and 37's or something) then I would just do it once and go with 4.88's. Also, while you are in the rear, I suggest getting a new locker. The g80 is a weak point in the rear end. I would go with a Detroit Tru-Trac.

I concur, go with 4.56. I have 4.88's in my crawler truck with 37's. On the street it is just fine. I am adding 4.56's to my H2 Hummer, and will eventually put 4.10's in my Denali. The reason I don't go to 4.56 in the Denali is the 417 ft/lbs of torque. With that and the six speed, it has a ton (well a quater ton) of low end torque already.

My Denali will eventually get 33's with a 3" lift mainly for looks. No off road in it's future...

Not mentioned in my sig...but here is my crazy crawler truck. I actually drive it on the street also. I did it all myself including the 5-link SAS, bent all the tubing for the sliders, suspension, rear bumper, and roof rack, and so forth...Powered by a supercharged 4.7 Toy V8 with lockers front and rear, and 4.88's
