well fellas i love my dmax but we sold the camper and there is no need for so much towing ability. i am getting rid of my dmax. sad to see her go but i have not drivin her in over a month. anyway, i found a 2005 SS silverado ext cab with the 6.0 L in it. it has 30,000 miles. its not loaded but in decent shape. anything i should be looking out for on the 6.0L? i have owned the 5.3, 8.1 and dmax? i drove it yesterday and was impressed at the giddy up!

I love the SS. Really sharp looking trucks. Now with prices the way they are I'm sure you can get a decent price on one.

The only downside to a V-Max or SS truck is that u lose about 2mpg or 1mpg, but I wouldn't buy an SS if I wanted to get good MPG. Is it an AWD or RWD? Does it comes with rear drum brakes or rear disc brakes? With an RWD SS it will be lighter than an AWD and u could burn out, if u get an AWD SS u will have a heavier truck, but it will launch better than a RWD SS on the takeoff. But a RWD SS has a better top end than an AWD SS. I suggest u go with a red SS, because black SS are way to common. If u get AWD no burnout are possible, one thing a RWD has that is awesome.

You can burn out with AWD but u have to have a lot of power, a RWD SS will burn out stock. RWD will usually also get better mileage than AWD.
