Electric Brake Controller For 2008 Gmc

I just recently purchased a 2008 2500 GMC. I need to install my electric brake controller and wanted to know if there was a plug under the dash that is already wired or do I need to hard wire it for the controller?

If yours is like my '08 Yukon, there's just a pigtail under the dash with four wires in it. It's taped up under the dash near the parking brake release handle. The instructions should be in your owners manual. Just connect the wires from your controller to the pigtail as directed and you're all set.

 

You'll also need to connect the brake power and trailer charging wires to the studs on the fuse block under the hood. Those instructions are also in the owners manual or if you search here, you'll find great instructions.
