Air Condition Problems At Idle

We just received our new, 2009 3/4 ton Suburban at work. The truck has dual zone manual climate control and a rear control panel (not auto).

 

When at idle, the light on the A/C (compressor/snowflake) button will go out and the vents will blow warm air. The recirculation button also appears to be doing strange things.

 

Has anyone experienced this problem? Any suggestions?

It is under warranty, have it checked out. This does not sound normal unless GM came up with some nonsensical fuel saving A/C compressor cutout at idle. But I would be surprised if they did this on a 3/4 ton vehicle that is exempt from mileage ratings.
