Us Navy Monument

It has some weeks a monument was set up in the glory of the navy, this monument is at 35 miles from my house, in "la Manche" Normandy, near Omaha Beach

Just a little correction it is closer of Utah Beach than Omaha Beach.

My father-in-law was a paratrooper in WWII and jumped into France. I can't remember the name of the town. He goes to a WWII reunion every year and stays in touch with 4 others he was good friends with back then.

That is nice. When i was stationed in germany I went on a 3 day trip to Normandy and saw the beach , the cliff and Utah beach alot of history.
