Anyone ever notice that if they rev their truck while in park or nuetral the motor seems to hang there for a second after releasing the gas pedal befor it returns to idle? Is this normal? Just noticed this today, guess I never tried it before now. My other truck (02) use to drop right back to idle.

I see this on all of the drive by wire trucks I've been in. Not sure if it is normal operation but I have the same thing with mine.

when you accelerate the RPM will goes till 4000 and its cutoff back to idle right?

 

Its called Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn,and this is normal in vehicles with computer controls.
