Obvious Abs Problem

I called Gm yesterday about my abs problem, which is it activates at 5mph till stop everytime. I see alot of people have this problem. My truck is 2 months over the 3 yr warranty. They said even to just put in a complaint with GM in order to record this problem so a recall can be made if enough people complain i need to bring my truck into a dealer, which is 100 bucks just for them to look at it and tell me what is wrong, they wont even put my complaint in. I explained to GM that i just lost my job and i cant at this time pay a dealer 100 bucks just to look at my truck. Let alone pay probaly up near 3-5 hundred bucks to get it fixed. They said there is a recall on this problem with 03-04 models, and since mine is an 05 there is nothing i can do.

Mine is an 03. There was no recall. It would have cost me $1500 if I hadn't had an extended warranty.

My abs takes awhile to kick in. The tires lock up and slide before it steps in a fixes it.

I had low speed ABS activation for awhile. I pulled the ABS fuse so I would not rear end someone. Eventually replaced both front hub/bearings and the problem has been solved.

If you're only 2 months over, some dealers may 'good will' it and waive the diagnostic fee, especially if you've been a good customer. Otherwise...you may be screwed.

I have a 99 NBS and it had this problem. The problem was the senors at the wheels. There was recall for it and I had it fixed, but now it is doing it again. Doesn't bother me that much.
