Stabiltrak On 08 Silverado

I Have a 08 Silverado 1500 1Lt with a 5.3 I just installed the DIC a plug and play deal but while I was doing this I noticed that in between the 12 volt power outlets were its empty only a small tray but behind the tray I noticed a few wires with a plug just laying there and I was wondering if somthing else is prewired and all I need is a switch mabie Stabiltrak? Thanks for viewing my post.

I dont think you can just "add" Stabilitrak. The whole vehicle would probably need more sensors and things like that to make it work. Also any other button that would go down in that slot would also require other things to work. Um lemme think well power adjustable pedals would require a motor to move the pedals, heated washer fluid would need the heating element and various other parts, and finally Back up sensors would require of course back up sensors.

Agreed. Although, I would have to say that Steveman was less than friendly himself. He gave his opinion but then did make it seem like the new guy was a moron. At least that's the way it read to me. Both parties were out of line, IMO, although the tie goes to the senior member.

The answer he gave is a correct one. The second half of it might have been a little unnecessary but I don't think he was trying to be an ****. More than a switch would be needed and it is unlikely that it could be added without major expense.
