Blowing Hot Air

The other day while driving, (2001 Silverado) I switched the air from hot to cold but it was still blowing hot air. After about 5-10 minutes it finally started blowing cold air. Anyone else ever expirence this?

This happened on my wifes 2004 GMC Yukon once. I had the AC on but it was blowing hot, hot air. Once I got to where I was going and turned off the car. I turned it back on a minutes or so later, turned the AC back on high and it has been blowing cold air ever since. I don't know? If it does it again, I may take it to get looked at.

Not experienced that, but it sounds like the mechanical baffle (can't recall the right term atm) that directs the hot/cold air mix is sticking. A search here for HVAC, heater, or AC should turn up some info.

company truck is either all the way cold or all the way hot! and if you move the temp a little off of cold then your getting full on heat, then if you try to move back to cold air it stays on heat. Shut the truck off for 15min or so and its back to cold until you move it again!

 

No one cares, its just a work truck!

i have the same problem, only it has happened intermittently, not daily, just a few times. check out my thread, not much info, but a place to start for troubleshooting....
