I have a 2000 Suburban 1500. I thought I was having a rearend bearing failure until I pulled my left rear e-brake and found it disconnected at the backing plate. Apparently the park brake actuator lever fell out of the adjuster and off the e-cable. The retainer wasn't anywhere to be found inside the disc either, so nothing was holding it from rubbing inside the disc. I pulled ebrake out and I still have to disconnect and pull the other side.

Any reason why the actuator lever would just fall off? Thanks.

  Have you updated the phone version? I had that issue when I first got truck and updating the phone fixed that.

  I bought my '26 Sierra Denali 1500 LZ0 about two weeks ago. Thursday, at 500 miles, I got the "Reduced Acceleration" message on the DIC along with the CEL on the dash. Limped it 13 miles home. I did not notice any unusual noises. I was only able to pull one code with my scanner, P06DD. Had it towed to the dealer. They are saying that the the crankshaft end play is within spec and there is no excessive metal in the oil. They will be replacing the oil control valve solenoid. Has anyone had or heard about this issue and it was not related to thrust bearing failure? I'm just wondering what to expect after the repair and what to look out for.   Nice. Simple, functional. I here you on the parking. The extended and crew cabs are beasts. Good to hear your 2.7 engine has been trouble free.
