08 Sierra Tow Package Question

I just got my 08 Sierra, anyways, it has a towing package, but is there an adapter that plugs into the bumper outlet part, for a regular 4 prong trailer connector, or is there another one on the truck somewhere?

GM part number 12496599 is an adapter that goes from the 7-pin round to the 4-pin flat. This is from the GM Accessories Site.

You can also buy a similar adapter cheaper from just about any auto parts store. I bought one for about $ 7.50 vs about $ 20 for the GM one.

Great picture of your Truck and Trailer . I do have a question for you as i'm not sure how to post a larger picture of my Truck such as you have on the lower portion of your comment section. Is there a simple way for me to figure this out ? Sorry i'm not 100% computer savy... Thanks

I looked at a 09 Ram the other day and it has both the round and flat connectors built right into the bumper. Not that this would sway me to buy a Dodge, but it is a good idea.

I bought 7 to 4 from O rileys and it would not go in there all the way.My dodge had the 7 pin mounted and a 4 pin hanging under the bumper.

I have a 7 to 4, dont remember where I got it. It is about 3' long when stretched out, but its coils itself up to only abot 12", like a cell phone charger cord. this is nice because I have pad locks on all my trailers and i can put this through the lock and it will take all the movement between truck and trailer. then my weak link is this $20 connector not my trailer wires being pulled out or getting caught up in somthing.
