Need Help. Horn Not Working

98 GMC Sierra. My horn works sometimes, and sometimes it doesnt. The fuse is fine. Is there anyway to check the relay ?

you could probly try using a relay from somthing else just to test it, for intermitant problems i would kinda think its the switch in the wheel, but try swappin a relay first

relays are not usually intermittent. I'd go with dirty connection under the steering wheel where you push the pad

It's probably a relay. I agree with using another relay to test it, if it is then go to a parts store and get one, they're cheap. If not, it's a problem with a connection somewhere

Ok I tried a Relay and that didnt seem to be it. It has to be the switch in the wheel because some times it works and other times it doesnt all depending on what part of the wheel I push. My next question is how to get at that switch ?

The center horn pad (and airbag) has contact switches either internally or between the bag nd wheel. If you remove the airbag and check out that switch, you may be able to clean, repair, or replace it. Just make sure you are following the book when pulling any airbag.
