First off let me say great site..

I want to install dual exhaust in my Sierra, will it void the warranty and what type of mufflers do I want for that nice grumble, cat back, mag na flow, glass pacs?

Second will installing a K&N performance kit void the warranty?

Will installing both if these improve performance and/or gas mileage?

Thanks in advance..:notice:

Welcome to the site 2000 GMC!!

Almost positive an intake or exhaust will not void your warranty.  Flowmaster is a great sounding aftermarket exhaust.  Unless you want the most obnoxious exhaust in town, steer clear of glasspacks.  If you do the intake and exhaust together there's a good chance you'll see better performance and MPG than stock or just by doing one.

Hope you enjoy the forum and will share any results you find -

neither will void your warranty.  The K&N is a good choice.  For exhaust if you've got the money go with a flowmaster you can get it from www.truckperformance.com  If you are unsure whether or not something will void your warranty just call your local chevy dealer and they should be able to tell you.  Those mods put together should give you a slight increase in performance and a they say better gas mileage (although I've yet to see mine change)

Don't ask the dealer they will tell you everything will void the warranty.

IN fact  NOTHING will void the warranty unless it causes the problem that you want fixed.

"The Magnusson-Moss Act forbids the dealerships to refuse warranty coverage because of the

installation of aftermarket parts, unless they can PROVE the parts caused the failure."

The best exhaust I have found for Power increase and a good rumble is the power vault system. If I get a new exhaust it will probably be from them. High quality stuff that actually has proven power gains with the GM motors.

the dealer i bought the one is the same way  but the one down here where I live now, are assholes..

They wouldn't even work on my seat belts (rattling and locking up), they said it had to do because I lowered my truck,  whatever the hell that has to do with seat belts I'll never know.

I guess it's all in the dealer than really.  They're people to and some are nicer than others.  They should do the work since it is warranty work.  Chevy pays them for it.  Most places are more than happy to do it.
