Intermediate Steering Shaft

Well, my ISS just started clunking again. Of course it is just out of warranty. I am just wondering if anyone has successfully fixed the stock one or are there any aftermarket ones that work particularly well. My dealer doesn't sell the "lube kits" i've heard about. Just new shafts...great. Any quick/easy/inexpensive fixes, or will I have to bite the bullet. In addition, a consideration with a new one if I must get one, aftermarket or stock is the question of is there any way to make these last longer than 10-15k miles? Thanks in advance.

No prob, just pointing you in the right direction

I had not known I could get a replacement shaft for 52.44 from Gm Parts direct. I can buy 6 of those for the price of one borgeson shaft, and even if they wear out, so what! I'll be fixing this again this weekend hopefully, I cannot STAND that clunk haha. Thank you again for the information.

Dorman I-Shaft Aftermarket might be your best option

Is it any better than the GM new shaft? If I keep my truck I am sure that I will eventually have to replace mine as well.
