Found this on fat wallet

www.universitydodge.com

I just got this flyer

if you buy a Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab for $32,000

get another Dodge Ram single cab (worth $24,000) for free.

Check it out I called and confirmed it today.

This is a pretty good deal I would think.

1) thats if I would want a Dodge.

2) I dont think I can pay the insurance for them both.

The new Rams are really nice.

That's quite the deal there. I heard on the news about a Chrysler dealership that was giving away a slightly used PT Crusier for one dollar with the purchase of a new Pacifica. You know times are tough when you're seeing promotions like this.

Wow :smash:

If I was in the hunt for a truck, it'd probably get me to at least consider a Dodge.

I wonder if its is one of those things where you have to have perfect credit, and all the other terms and conditions? Or they're doing this for 1 guy only.

I'm sure that those are 2008 models; they've been dumping inventory to make room for the re-designed 2009 models. My local Dodge dealers (Austin area) have been selling 2008 Ram 1500's for 50% off (and even more) for several weeks now. My closest dealer has about 30 on the lot, all priced between $30-38k. Heckuva deal if you want a Dodge truck...

Chrysler is selling new remaining 2008 Pacificas (no longer made) for $10-12k under MSRP. So paying MSRP for one and getting a "slightly used PT cruiser" for one dollar is not such a great deal because that PT cruiser is a base model worth about $ 9k. Another gimmick to make you think you are getting a killer deal. :smash:

I went through three Dodges before I wided up and went back to GM.

Worst trucks I ever owned. Every one of them had front end issues. Never again will a Dodge sit in my drive

I know some people who have had issues with Dodges as well, but I think I would be willing to give the '09 Ram a chance.

I want to know how it works. Do you get the title to the 'free' one straight up, or do you finance "2 for 1" and get the title to both when they're paid off. If you're handed the title to one right out of the gate then that's like free money if you don't want to keep that one. But - like it's been said, you have to want a Dodge to do that.

Not that I don't love my 08 Sierra...but I have to say, I had two Ram 1500's one extended cab 98 the other quad cab 02 and they were both great trucks that i drove straight through to over 120k miles each without one single trip to the dealer...meanwhile I have had my GMC since labor day weekend and it's been to the dealer once already...and from what I have read on the forums here, I am scared that trip wasn't the last to the dealer... :smash:

Ugh. Free crap is still crap. When I went truck shopping a few months ago I test drove an 08 Ram Big Horn and an 08 Silverado, both extended cabs with the 5.7/5.3 respectively. The Silverado was by FAR the better vehicle of the two; more refined, smoother ride, quieter, far more elegant and an overall feel of quality. The Dodge felt plasticy and cheap with a stiffer ride, despite the Silverado having a Z71 suspension, and lacked a lot of features the Chevy had in the same price range. In the end I bought an 05 Sierra Nevada Edition Z71 and still feel I came out ahead over buying a brand new Dodge.

My philosophy is, don't buy anything whose name is a synonym for "avoid."
