Hi,

I'm new at this site, I've been doing great so far on doing my own repairs on my truck. I'm a tech as well, and as any tech wants to do is very little removing to get the job done right. And thats what I'm at. I've troubleshot the no heat issue in my truck. It takes an eternity and a day for the cab to warm up. I found a few heater hoses from the water pump that goes to the cab. One of them is very hot and the other one is cold. I'm assuming that the cold one is the return from the heart core.

I'm thinking its the heater core is plugged, it doesn't fog up my windows, nor does it smell like coolant. But it doesn't seem like I'm getting very good flow. If you got any pointers on how to remove the darn thing that would be awesome. Well thanks.

Your vehicle doesn't have a heater water valve installed on one of the lines does it? I'll probably PM you some instructions on core removal.

Why do a PM when other people would probably have need or interest in the instructions.

Because I'm unsure of what GM manual instructions can be legally posted on this site. There are restrictions.

It seems the OP isn't asking about what the manual says, but about how a tech who might have short cuts would do it.
