Remote Starter

im getting a remote starter installed on friday..

its a 2 way system.. it has a little 1.5" LCD that tells interior temp, how long its been running, if its locked..... it is remote start , keyless lock / unlock and 2 ACC for whatever.. the range is 2000 Feet, but the guy said people that have it on there car say that if you can see your car it will start..

when you lock it it beeps back (or vibrates) that its locked.. same as starting.. when you start it, it will let you know it did in fact start it.. pretty much any thing you want the remote to do it will let you know it did it sucessfuly or failed...

i cant wait.. plus i had just keyless entry done by the same guy and i am getting about 50 bucks back cause im selling the kit to my friend and he is putting it in his truck.

not exactly sure but i do know it has a lifetime warranty

and the guy that does it has a lifetime guarantee on his work

i know him pretty good so it shouldn't be a problem if something stops working..

only thing is is you have to put a antenna up by your rear view mirror.. but its just a little 4 inch antenna.. my bosses have them in their truck and you dont even see it...

no its a Christmas present to myself

back in summer when i had keyless put in i was like " i don't need a remote starter i didn't have one in my old truck"

but now that it is 0 degrees it changed my mind

yea i bought everything.. i owe 1350 bucks on the truck... i will owe under 1000 by X-mas

and let me tell you, accessories are not cheap... but are fun to add

i guess you give a little to get a little.. say i get a 500 dollar paycheck.. 350 will go to bills but then as soon as i pay my truck off i will get to make the savings account fat and happy

lol... do work.. i love the remote starter in my truck.. i have a viper system. when its like... 99 million degrees out side... fire it up..and by the time im to it... nice and cold =)

Well somabitch. I need to get my remote start working. It hasn't worked for about 5 month now. I don't even have the keyless anymore either. I've just been using my key and its a pain in the ass. The only thing that works about it is that thing where you can leave the truck running and remove the key to run into the store. The guys the install the systems here in Springfield want like $40 to fix and I says F*ck that.

Brian, did you just leave the a/c on in your truck when you started it or did you have some big ol' fancy system that automatically turned the a/c on?
