2001 Silverado Z71 Lt

Can someone tell me how to remove the radio in my 2001 Silverado? Its a Z71 LT 5.3 Liter V8 extended cab truck. I have two led lights burned out for the #2 and #5 pushbuttons on the front of the stereo and I think I can open up the case and solder in some new LED's. I had a friend that did this on a 1998 Silverado. Not sure however to remove the radio???

It is BEYOND easy, you need no tools. First, carefuly but firmly pull off the dash trip piece that goes around the head unit, HVAC controls, gauge cluster, and headlight switch (I have the center jumpseat not the full console, and found it easiest to grab by opening the ashtray and pulling from in there), but no matter what interior you have, it just pops out. To get it out of the way, drop the shifter into the '1' position, and lower the steering wheel. Then just push down the 2 tabs next to the radio, and pull it out. Then unplug the harnesses, and you're good to go.
