Longer Torsion Bar Bolts?

Alright guys, I've searched and found a little useful info on the topic. Today I jacked up the front end of my 06 1500 Silverado and cranked the torsion bars. The passenger side only had about 1 1/2 revolutions before the bolt was maxed out. The cv angles are still fine and the front end is still about 1.5" lower than the rear. If I buy a longer bolt can I just back the stock bolt out letting the key rest on the bolt mount and reinsert the longer bolt to get another inch of lift out of the torsion bars? Does anyone know the specs on the bolt?

Thanks for any input, I have 285/70/17 Cooper STT's going on Friday and would like to get this done before hand.

It could be possible, but you have to make sure that with the current bolt maxed out, the key isn't hitting the top of the cross-member.

EDIT: And I'm also surprised you only had that little bit of adjustment on a truck that new. My truck was almost 9 years old with over 170k when I cranked mine, and I was able to gain about 1.5".

I was suprised as well, I only gained about an 1/8" on the passenger side before the bolt was maxed. There is still some bolt left on the drivers side. I was thinking I could avoid Ford keys as I was only looking for about an 1 of lift. I don't remember seeing the key hitting the cross member but I'll have to check in the morning. Anybody know the bolt specs or how high their fender had to be to clear 285s?

There is a little over a 1/2" of clearance between the key and crossmember of the maxed out bolt, not sure what that would translate to if I bought a longer bolt. Anybody else?
