Do You Get Accused...

Do you get accused of paying more attention or taking better care of your truck than your wife/girlfriend?

Just wondering because I just had a conversation with my girlfriend about how I treat my truck better than her. I can't say I treat it better, just different. There's always a special bond between a man and his truck. It started because I took it out in the boonies yesterday to go shooting. On the way back to town (minutes after the pic in my sig was taken) I missed a turn and ended up down a road surrounded by mesquite and left with some new "pinstripes." So today to apologize to it I changed the oil, rotated the tires, and vacuumed the interior. To help with the scratches I also put on some Meguire's Scratch-X and it helped quite a bit. I'm afraid some of them are going to need buffed out whenever I get the time :gmc: Still new so each new scratch is painful.

My ex was jealous. :D

Actually, I was talking to her last night and she said, "Its pretty much the love of your life at the moment". Yeah, probably because it's not pissed at me one week, sad that I don't talk to it the next, and pissed at me for something else later on. :gmc:

Trucks are quieter, even Flowmaster equipped and also not near as leaky.

I told my wife I don't trust anything that bleeds for seven days and doesn't die.

And she replied by telling you to stop picking your nose didn't she.

Nope. My wife doesn't accuse me of taking better care/paying more attention to/jealous of my truck. Though she can't really understand the time I do put into looking after it.

My truck and my wife have at least one thing in common...they both get whiny when it gets really cold. :D

That's a good one :gmc:

My wife actually keeps the vehicles clean and wiped down in the garage. Any dust on the black interior and she's out there with a vacuum and some soft towels taking care of it. Since I drive a company vehicle, she keeps the others spottless. She's the same way with the house. We don't like anything out of place.

I told my ex that she'd get just as much attention and as good of care as my truck when she earns it like my truck did. I had fought a flood, a wildland fire, and accumulated 380,000 miles with 2/3 of it off-road in the life of my truck. My truck proved itself to me, and was there for me everytime I needed it. Where was she at? Getting her nails done?

I'll hand it to her, though. She at least earned the "ex" title.

My wife used to get somewhat jeleous about the attention that I paid to my vehicles, but now she just thinks I am an idiot. Washing it, waxing it, vacuuming, you know, the daily routine. I figure my wife has 2 legs and a heartbeat, therefore she can take care of herself. But the truck needs all the lovin' and carin' it can get. At least I do not sit naked in the truck, yet  .
