a) Can a TAC module be reprogramed?

If not, can a second hand TAC, from a scrap yard,

be retrofitted to the Suburban?

b) In either replacement scenario,

would the Suburban learn and adapt with the donner TAC?

c) What would be the GM part number for the TAC module?

d) Whats the typical cost for a TAC module?

Reason for the interest in changing the TAC, is that my present unit causes hysteresis to the butterfly movement.

Both the butterfly and accelerator pedal sensor have been replaced, and wiring verified.

Are you getting a DTC P1516?

I dont see the problem with replacing the TAC with a used one. The PCM may have to be recalibrated, dunno. They should run $200 new.

P1516 more recently, after cleaning up ground points G103, G104 and G110.

Make sure you clean the connectors in addition at the actuator & controller with electronic cleaner, they have been known to have microscopic corrosion at the connectors.
