Towing Package Question

I have a 2003 Silverado 4x4 that didn't come with a factory towing package. I bought one today and need to know is there already a connector to plug a harness up to? I had a '92 Z71 and all I had to do was get a T-harness. I looked underneath but I'm not sure what I'm looking at. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think you can check up above the spare tire and see if there's a harness there. If I recall correctly, that is where it was on my 2000. I also had to purchase the brake controller harness that plugs in under the dash and connect the brake controller wires in the underhood fuse block.

If you are towing anything larger than a jet ski, you should add a good stacked plate trans cooler. This would have been part of a factory tow package.
