Spurshot Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I had exactly this problem within a few months after my 99 Sierra went off warranty. I was backing out of the driveway in the morning to go to work when the ABS motor took off running and would not quit no matter what I did. I shut the engine off and it still ran. I quickly pulled the 60 amp fuse and it quit. I carefully drove the truck and verified I still had brakes and it did. The dealer said the module on top of the ABS motor/pump went south. The dealer charged approx $800 to fix it.
bubba33 Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I think its around 150.00 to have it fixed when you send it in.I had one go bad on my 99 silverado under warranty though.
polaristech Posted January 15, 2009 Author Posted January 15, 2009 thanks for the help.. I will get it off this weekend..
