Ccm 2.5'' Lvl Installed On Nbs

Finally leveled out the drag racer look of my NBS truck! Would definitely recommend the CCM level kit.

Install took about 2-2.5 hours. Worked on it in my friends garage with basic tools.

CCM's instructions pretty much covered everything you needed to know, but there were a couple things we got hung up on.

-The leveling kit bolts to the top of the stock strut. In order to fit the spacer over the stock bolts you have to drill out the holes to make them just a bit wider. The powder coating narrowed the gaps just enough to where it wouldn't fit.

-You have to cut off about .5'' from the stock bolts when adding the spacer. It was tough to get to with a saw, so we ended up just cutting them with a power grinder.

-We had a little trouble fitting the strut back on the truck. Without a spring press, we had to crank on a prybar to compress the spring, while one of us lined up the bolts. With the CCM kit you also have to flip the strut around 180deg. from its stock position, making it kind of awkward to fit in.

-We used threadlock on all our bolts, not mentioned in the instructions.

After measuring when I was done, the front was within .5'' from the back, wanna way it was around 39''

Other than this I'm glad that I went with this kit. I was considering the Rough Country 2'' lvl, hearing that it was an easier install, but I think the CCM'd trucks definitely have the edge in looks, maybe the .5'' makes it or breaks it?? haha

Here's some pics of the install, and before/after: (Took off the front valence as well)

Looks great. I am still on the fence between the CCM and the RC kit.

If you get the chance can you post some pics of your angles?

Yea sure, I'll throw up some pics when I get a chance.

Looks good. I am looking into getting this kit as well. Im curious if it is worth it to get this kit along with the 1" taller rear block, ccm sells this as a package My truck sits about 2" lower in the front so I was thinking with the block it would be perfect when trailering. Any one have any experience doing this?
