Anyone Have The All-terrain Packaged '08+ Sierra? Please Help..

I am considering the All-Terrain package for my new Sierra that I'm gonna pick up this spring. I have a few questions:

How does the Z71 Package affect overall ride quality as compared to the standard suspension?

How much higher does the truck fit?

What do you like/dislike about the package?

Any other important things that you think are pertinent for me to know before I order the truck with this package would be great! Thanks a lot for the help!! and please post any pics you have of your AT Sierra! thanks again

I am doing the same thing as you are and i have heard that the the ride is a little stiffer but not bad. The truck does not sit much higher than stock and if it does it is not noticable. And I havent found anything that i dont like about the package. More pics would be nice i just google imaged GMC All Terrain and 4-5 trucks come up. I am really excited!

It comes with different wheels, different front grill, i think steering wheel cover and other accents, floormats, and badges. I wanted it when I heard about it, but wasnt all that impressed with the "all-terrain" additions. The z71 is a joke too. 300 for plastic skid plates.... I have the z71, but only b/c the truck had everything else I wanted. Everything "z71" on my truck is now in a box in the geerage. Having said that, it will be slightly stiffer due to the Rancho shocks, but not unbearable. The truck sits at the same hieght as the other 4x4's. I don't really like anything about it. If it was a little higher, came with steel skid plates, and off-road wheels/tires then it would be a lot nicer.

+1, most people get the Z71 just to say they have a Z71, me included

Yep, has all the stuff J-Man mentioned. I wanted the differnet grill, the 18-inch wheels and 2-tone leather interior. I wish the special "All-Terrain" floor mats were the deep, rubber all-weather variety, but I replaced them with WeatherTech floor liners to help contain the winter slush. This is a photo of my 08 All-Terrain crew cab with an Eagle cap.

Huh? My skid plates are aluminum, at least the ones under the engine and tranny.

I don't have a Z71, but I added the Skid plates Ala Carte for $95.

Except for the grill and the wheels, the main reason I got mine was the fact that that i was getting a SLE. The SLE AT interrior is just about the same as the SLT without leather and those ugly fake wood inserts. (much nicer in SLT trim). I am very satisfied with my truck, I deffinetly would not be if I just got a regular SLE, in fact by now I probably would be after trading it already. Also with the SLE you will get painted mirrors and door handels.

Jeff, you are correct. Mine were aluminum also. I was thinking about the skids on my Colorado. The brochure stated aluminum, but they were plastic!
