Got My Camera Tailgate Bezel Today

Picked up my 09 Sierra Tailgate Bezel that has the Mount for the Camera molded into it.

I was actually suprised, and disappointed...the camera mount is a little smaller, and its a square...does anyone know of a camera that might work in there besides the factory one?

Looks Nice! Where did you find that kind of camera at...it appears to be very nice...how is the image quality, etc?

That's kinda what I've been looking for lately....Does anyone have any shots of what the rearview looks like at that angle? I have an in-dash nav with rearview hookups but haven't been able to find a camera system I liked yet.

Ask and ye shall receive. I do not have the install finalized yet. I installed that in the truck though to verify there were no clearance issues in the tailgate. I played with an 09 chevy Saturday to get the pics of the OEM one and got a shot of the camera angle. I wish it showed the bumper corners, but it's a nice angle. I think this camera actually may give a better view since it's twice the diameter.

I bought my camera on ebay from hookedontronics for 35 shipped

quality of build seems pretty good compared to other cameras I have looked at.

Nice...Have you tried putting a ball in the receiver and backing up to a trailer? That'd be my main use for it as I hook up to a trailer a lot and it's hit or miss some of the time.

And where can I order this bezel cover from (or the GM part #)?

no, that was on a brand new truck. You can see where it would be though. the center of the bumper is JUST out of sight so the hitch would be perfectly visible I think. I have the PN listed on here in another thread. I will try to find it. here it is.. probably about 32 dollars retail.

Damnit, I thought I posted the PN, I forgot to paste it! sorry!!! 25958228 That's the factory PN. (that is for a Silverado, I do not think the handles are different, but they could be?) Added easily? I'm having to replace my stereo to do it. Which doesn't look like it will be easy. Wiring the camera is easy, you'll just have to deal with how to view it. I think Boyo makes a rear view mirror that fits over yours that has a corner of it that shows the rear camera when engaged..

i have a 09 LT. with no nav. radio just a stock one. can something like that be added to my truck easily?

Hey that looks good, now I have a reason to add the cam to my headunit, I didn't care for the license plate mounted cams.

Looks like something that could get smashed out by punks.

Dumb question...How is the wiring routed through the tailgate? I thought there were a bunch of channels directly under the handle...
