Upping Tire Size From 265 To 275 Computer Reprogram?

Hi,

On my 09 GMC all terrain I am having the 1.5 inch ready lift leveling kit installed and replacing the stock 265/65/18 tires with 275/65/18 terra grapplers next week. Can the installer, 4 wheel parts in Denver, reprogram the computer?? If not, can the dealer do it? Or does anyone know of a custom shop around the South Denver (Castle Rock) area that can handle this for me??

Thanks

Eric

If you can deal with the tiny amount the speedo is off there isn't any other reason to reprogram. Your change is a small one overall. (I bet it looks good though)

You will only be traveling at 61 MPH when the speedo says 60 MPH. (a whopping 1.6% difference)

+1

And you will be "preserving" value by logging fewer than actual miles. :D

Excuse my ignorance, but won't it effect the odometer reading as well? In the long run that is.

Yes, but very minimal on his. Only off by 100 miles at 10,000. Most odometers aren't even that accurate.

My truck reads 12348 miles and the actual mileage would be 12916 and my tires are 4.6% larger than stock.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. I figured it would be minimal and was not sure how it would affect other stuff in the computer system, given all the hi tech stuff on these new vehicles. Will post pics next week when it is done.
