Truck Weigth

Recommended Posts

Hi, for GM Silverado or Sierra 3500 diesel 4x4 LTZ (or SLT) SRW and DRW I search the weight empty (may be you call it the "curb weight" but I am not sure ..) the truck ready to go with the tank at 3/4 full or full. Do you know it or do you know where I can found these informations ?

I found on GM Canada, it is the curb weight but I am not sure that is equal to the weight empty as we call in Europe and it is generic, I need the real weight "empty" with all options (LTZ or SLT).

Thanks for your answers and advices.

I've always weighed my trucks at public truck scales and the weight is much different than any labels on the trucks indicate.

So anyway best to weigh it at a public scale. The scales along the highway usually are on at all times even if the sign says closed.

My '05 2500HD crewcab 4x4 with the Dmax weighs around 7000 lbs on the scales at work. That is with a fiberglass cab high cap on the bed. My truck is a fully loaded shortbed.

My '07 3500HD dully weighted in at just about 8000lbs, including the fiberglass cap. The cap only wieghts around 150lb or so.
