hey guys, just figured id run this by yall, on my truck every 2 months or so i break a sway bar link.. luckily 4 wheel parts guys are really cool with me and give me about 4 stock ones to replace them when ever i need to. I found it interesting that they also said its odd that the stock ones break because usually when they have someone put after market sway bar links on that those are the ones they see break usually and that they end up putting the stock ones back on because they usually hold up better... these guys know what they are talking about with everything ive needed them for so far and i trust their judgement... theyve checked everything on my truck with me standing there and everything is working like it should, just the sway bars keep breaking. Maybe its cause i take turns like im Dale Jr. on a road course.. i dont know, but really where im getting at is there anyone else thats had this problem and been able to find better sway bar links thats held up?

maybe the front sway bar is trying to do too much..

try upgrading the sway bar to a thicker bar so reduce how much it moves. or you could try getting a rear sway bar to take some of the load off the front one

It looks like you have a lift kit? If you do you'll need adjustable sway bar links.

That's a NICE looking truck Jesse.

I've had the same problem with aftermarket sway bar links (skyjacker). My truck eats them every 20k or so. I'm still looking for a permanent solution. At least they're easy enough to change out. I think the problem is that the bar itself is too narrow after installing the lift kit - the stance gets slightly bigger with the kit. Maybe I'll have a machinist friend widen it slightly by bending it - altho that might be impossible if the bar is spring steel.
