Don't want to do it - and here's why!

Did my research and was told by every tranny specialist I talked with to not do it. One said I should also replace the actuator valve also if I were to do it.

But the main reason I am not doing it is because Justin got my shifting perfect (to my liking) in the tune. I don't see the need for it.

so a computer tune is as good as a mechanical change? that's impressive!

the tune can increase line pressure, which is what the mod does. The mod only does the 1-2 shift, while the tune can do all shifts.

Did it and can tell a difference from 1-2, it seems like it's a little firmer 2-3 also? Exhaust system is in the mail and then I plan on a tune this summer or sooner depending on my tax return and all. For 20 bucks I think it was worth it. :)

I did it and I love it. The purpose of the vette servo mod is to allow the transmission to shift more quickly and efficiently from first to second gear. From the factory, the truck 4L60e's have a smaller servo. The servo is used to apply the 2-4 band in the transmission. Upgrading to the vette servo gives the trans more "holding" power and thus yields a quicker/firmer shift. Adding a vette servo has also seemed to cause some folks 1-2 slipping to cease. It will firm up the 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift along with the 4-2 downshift. If you then get a tune you have to have the line pressure adjusted so it won't shift too hard.

if you want a firmer shift... adjust the pressure by pulling the pan down.. and theirs a torx head screw on the back of the solenoid... bout 1/4 turn to the right will increase it big time.. i did it to my truck.. i just rebuilt the trans.. and stuck the stock servo back in it.

i did it wasnt actually $20 but after a tune the servo was awsome , shifts like its got a pair. I kinda want one on my new truck now.

if i had a 2wd or a 4wd with smaller tires i bet i would snag 2nd thats how much differance it made. A deffenite for anyone whos thinking about it.
