I always park as far away from other vehicles as I can. My wife and friends make fun of me but I don't care because I don't have any door dings. Anyone else do this or am I crazy?

I do the same

If i have to park close (school or work) i park on an end (only one car can park next to me on the pass side) and park over the yellow line so if they are in their space they have plenty of room to open their door.

My gf luckily doesnt mind the mile or so walks to the store

Hey its good exercise (if i say that then its implying shes fat so its a no win situation)

I do the same.  That reminds me of a funny story.  When I was in high school, one of my friends would drive 'round and 'round the parking lot wait for a spot closer to the place we were going to open up.  I used to laugh my a** of at him, telling him "we could have already been in and out of the place in the time you've spent circling the parking lot."  LOL

I do too, but some of it is because the spaces are too tight and the rows are too narrow and I can't get my "school bus" in those crowdwed lots!!!

It's good exercise. Just add up the extra distance you walk during a week. You can burn enough calories to Biggie Size your lunch once a week.

I use to park far away.  I'm not as bad as I use to be.  Truck to old to worry about anymore.  Thanks charles, make me feel bad.  I parked close when I went and got my food and now I am sitting here with a supersize.

Heck, even when you park far away, you're in a crowd w/ all the other peoples trucks, ricers, etc that are trying to save their paint.  I read someone's tag line once that said 'Those aren't scratches, they're character lines!'

my gf wont let me drop her off at the door.  I guess she likes walking with me?

parking? why park? just drive through.. thats what they are ment for.. and if a store doesnt have one make on.

every time i'm trying to back out with my truck someone little car has to pull behind me and get mad.

try taking an ext cab long bed and parking in a "compact" spot.. you get some weird looks.

I park as close as I can get, which is usually pretty far out due to the length of the vehicle.  I can usually get into any spot just fine, but backing out is the hard part if there are a lot of vehicles around.  Someone is always trying to get as close to you as they can so they can get your spot when you leave.  But I very rarely go into the city, most of the time I am out at stores in these small towns where parking is a free for all, take as much or as little as you like, there is plenty for everyone.

What I really like to do is go to a grocery store or Walmart or something when I have the trailer hooked up.  I feel free to take up about 8 spots, maybe more if I feel like it.  People may give me a bad look, but they sure don't argue with me.

thats kind of what we do when we're going out camping. but a LOT more then 8 spots. normally consists of an ext cab short bed with 24ft 5th wheel, and me with my ext cab long bed and 21' sport hauler. most of the time its out towards the back i cant just park like a little car with a trailer anyways.  ppl seem to respect your parking decisions more when your towing some heavy hardware behind you.
