Haven't even made my first payment yet and it's dented to hell. Got stuck in a hail storm on my way home today, talk bout a helpless feeling! It was a little larger than golf ball size and left some pretty good dents. Anyone have experience with paintless dent removal?

That totally sucks, and I feel for you. Best thing to do is call around to body shops and see if someone can do something to get the dents out. Unfortunately it will not be a warranty thing, so it your dime to get it fixed. Again, sorry that this happened.

Bummer!

When my truck was only a few months old, in the summer of 2007, I was in Brainerd, MN at a resort and there was a major hailstorm. Luckily I saw it on the news and they said it was heading right toward us. So I went out and pulled my truck under the shelter at the front entrance before anyone else did. Good thing too, cuz there were many cars that looked like golf balls after that storm, as well as downed trees/branches and the vegetation was shredded. It was July and the ground looked like October with all the leaves (except they were still green and shredded).

Oh man, that sucks. I'd think insurance would cover the damage

Dent wizard does pretty good work though, for a reasonable cost.

THAT REALLY sucks!

PDR is your friend here though. A good PDR guy can do magic on hail dings.

The problem I hear about with hail damage is getting every single dent. Some are small and hide. But a good PDR guy should get them all. ...Or at least get the ones you find later free of charge.

 I've been in the body shop/detailing business for years, and having a good PDR guy in your list of contacts is ALWAYS a good thing. If trained properly and equipped with the right equipment, they can make hail damage almost 100% disappear.

I'm glad I was at work today my wife said the hail was golf ball size+ and there was about an inch on the ground. Where's home for you Tallspawn?

Yep, I should have hung out at work a little longer. What is it they say about hind-sight?? I'm in Cedar Park, not too far from you I pass through Burnet from time to time...I was stuck over on Parmer when it blew threw though...

I cleaned off the hood and roof, was actually opposite of what I expected. The roof only has a few minor dents, the hood on the other hand has several really deep ones, especially on the curves of the raised portions. After watching the news, I guess I'm pretty lucky people up on 183 had their windows busted out while sitting in traffic. Reports of some dealerships with several cars with shattered windows. I'm hoping I can find a good PDR, if anyone knows somebody in the Austin area let me know. Guess worst case scenario I could get a new hood, have had bad luck with paint jobs in the past though...

Here's some photos people have sent in, there was tennis ball size in some areas:

Fred is about to need a new hood. Been beat up THREE FREAKIN TIMES in the last year now. I keep getting them PDR'd out, but I got several new ones the other day.

Even though the new place will have room to store all my cars inside...I'm REALLY leaning towards a fiberglass hood now.

wow that really sucks, i would be pissed if that happened to my truck and its 12 years old. I couldn't imagine it happing to a brand new truck.

Hope you get it fixed, you never know what can happen. With a good PDR / Paintless Dent Removal it should like nothing happened.

From what I saw on the news, you guys that are south of Burnet really got hammered. No pun intended.. I swing through CP sometimes on my way to Houston every weekend. Hope you get it fixed right, keep us updated.
