Automatic Climate Control On Ltz

This is the first time I have had a vehicle with the automatic climate control and I am not sure if I am operating it correctly.I have been running it on manual as it seems with auto the AC is activated when the sun warms the cabin a little. Most days it has started out around 0 C[32F] and we turn on the heated seats and set the temp to 24C and turn up the fan.Should I just be setting the temp and leaving it on auto and then let the computer switch from heating to cooling.Sorry for seeming DUMB just haven,t quite figured the auto thing out .thanks

Set the desired temp on the controls and set it to auto and let it alone. Only thing you need to worry about is if you want to raise or lower the temp. The controls work AWESOME. It will sometimes turn the a/c on, but thats for defrost, heat faster, cool down the cab when the suns heated it up. Basically, it takes care of the climate inside the cab.

I love it.

Another neat feature I've noticed recently is that if you use the onstar or handsfree phone system, the auto climate control will automatically turn the blower fan to the lowest setting to keep the noise in the cabin down, and then set it back when your done. Pretty cool huh? It will also leave the blower on low until the truck is heated up enough to blow warm air in winter.

My past two trucks have had auto-climate control. I really like it.

Feels weird when I drive my wife's car, and I have to remember to set everything. ;)

Mine is set to AUTO and I seldom touch it.

Mine is ok. I never use the Auto though. It seems in the summer if it's 95° inside the cabin, and I set it for 72°, it cranks the fans all the way up. It mean it's got to be pushing 10,000 cfm through there!

I don't use it in the winter because I like the defrost on all the time. On Auto, the truck doesn't agree with me.

I set mine and forget it.

Sounds like a Ron Popeil (sp?) infomercial on the Showtime Rotisserie "JUUST SET IT AND FORGET IT!!!!!!!" :dunno:

I use mine on auto all the time. Usually though, I don't want the AC to activate so immediately after I press auto, I press the AC button to deactivate it. The system will still operate as normal... just without the AC so if it's too warm outside, it might never reach desired temp.
