The ReadyLift is a fine kit. Most people on the site go with the Rough Country kit its alot cheaper. They are different designs. It all just depends on what you want. The price you mention includes the rear blocks for the 2.5 Ready Lift?

I did the Ready-Lift on my truck and I like it. I did just the front though. In the rear instead of adding blocks and putting the "rake" back into the truck I ordered some air bags. that way I can custom tailor the rear to what I have in it or what I am towing. I havent installed the bags I just ordered them over the weekend. I had a set of them on my other truck and really liked them. I tow a open race car trailer with box and tire rack on the front. I hooked it all up to see what it looked like and it wasnt pretty. It would probably sit about 1 inch dropped in the rear or so if the truck was stock but leveled it looked like it would not tow well. The bags will fix this.

Good Luck with whatever kit you choose.

I don't think there is anything wrong with ReadyLift....I was originally looking at getting the ReadyLift for my truck. However, I quickly learned (at the time that I was looking) that they only offered a 1.5" level kit which meant that I wouldn't be able to put 285 tires. Towards the middle of last year they came out with the 2.25" leveling kit (66-3085), and they also started offering the 3" OEM style blocks (66-3003) for the rear.

I ended up going with a DayStar 2" kit which is made out of a harden polyurethane material instead of aluminum. From what I've seen, not to many people on this site have the DayStar, but it is very common in my area and so far I like it. I do think that it raised the front of my truck a bit more than 2" because my front end appeared to be siting higher than the rear. So I ended up taking out the factory 1" block and put in a 2" block.

If I had to do it all over again (especially with the new ReadyLift kit) I'm not sure which one I'd pick. I do agree with the concept behind the DayStar kit, and also I have heard concerns about the aluminum corroding.....but I don't think its really a big concern. It all depends on what you want to pay and personal preference. The DayStar kit cost me about $132 plus the cost of install and allignment.

Here is the link to the DayStar site just incase you are curious

what bags did you order and what does it take to install them, price and ride quality changes. the droop is what i don't want to see and where does the airbag stuff go aka pumps and tank

Airbag installs are pretty easy. Most consist of mounting a bracket to your frame, a plate on your leaf, then the bag goes between the frame mount and your leaf spring. Then run the air hoses where you want them. Price is about 200-300 range, with compressor about 400-550. The ride will stiffen up of course, but only with air in the bags. When you don't need them, simply deflate to about 5lbs and ride will be the same as stock. You don't need the pumps, unless you are towing a lot and want to be able to in/deflate while in the cab of your truck. Otherwise you can just route the air hoses to the back of your truck, where you can use any air pump to inflate them.

I have the ReadyLift on, and i've had no issues at all...good product, but I haven't used anything else so I can't compare.

One thing I noticed was even after my 2.25 ready lift, my truck still had that "rake" that people talk about without having blocks put in. So you never know, you may not need them.

The Ready Lift 1.5" kit is a top spacer, the 2.25" kit is the 1.5" kit plus a Rough Country style lower strut block. I had planned on getting the Ready Lift 2.25" but looked at the Rough Country and was sold on it because it's cheaper. Mine seems to sit level, I do have a toolbox in the bed which may help make it level since udeleon mentioned his was still raked with the 2.25" kit.

i put the ready lift 2.25 on my truck at about 4000 miles it did sit a little higher in the front than the rear but now the suspension has sagged a bit so it sits even for the most part

I'm on day 4 or 5 with the Ready Lift... Several people have said the back appears to sag, and I even thought going down the raod today that I felt as if the back was squating. However I did not notice and loss of steering which would indicate really bad squating... I'm conisdering adding the blocks... Acctually all ready talked BIL to help me install at his shop when I buy them later in the week...

i added this kit to my 08 last week along with 28/65/r18 BFG's and at this point have no complaints. truck looks level to me and i'm no longer bothered by the nose down look it had before. i'd recommend it.

Full week tomorrow on the ready lift...No problems. Love the look of the truck.

Ride is 100% smoother than before.. Some of this is due to the Cooper zeon LTZ's. I think that a lot of the ride is due to the better balance of weight.

Still pondering on the 1 inch adder for the back... Sometimes I look at the truck and it looks right, others, it looks low in the back. I did take some measurements...Front ground to top of wheel well. 40 5/8". Rear ground to top of wheel well 40 1/2". So I guess it really is Lower in the back.

Went off road on Easter Sunday. It was raining here, and had to make a trip out to the farm. First time ever I wasn't worried about getting stuck in the wet grass... Truck got a couple of specks of mud on it and the oval steps are covered... think I may need mud flaps...hello chrome ladies.... not..

I know this is an ancient thread but what size tires are you running on this? Your truck looks real nice. Looks like you have MT-Rs on it.
