Yet Another Jeep

I was told about this forum by a friend and thought I'd take a look. I'm new to the forum scene and hope to not make to many "noobie" mistakes here. :D

Any way I am a life long GM fan. Started out w/ a 78 Buick Regal :D green in color. Kinda cool in its own way, any way not much input on your first car when dad is the co-signer :D . I was lookin at a 68 Z28 convetable for the same price...that purchase didn't quite go the way I wanted. But at least it wasn't a station wagon or mini van.

Then I got into 4 wheelin'. Living in the UP will do that. Strayed from the GM fold and bought a Toyota. I know not the best choice but money was a factor and it was a good wheeler. :D Then back to the GM's, Chev's specifically.

Picked up an 83 Blazer which eventually found its way to a 4" Ranco Lift and 36" Super Swampers, 350 bored .30 over, Edelbrock intake, Holly 650 dbl pumper, 400 tranny and NP 203 tranfer case. Now that was a fun ride. The Blazer was traded in for a 90 CHev k1500 when I couldn't afford the $90 a week in fuel at a buck 50 a gallon :D (4:11's will do that 9 MPG). But eventually was able to afford a few new rides: 97 Chev S-10, 99 Silverado Z71 Indigo Blue Metalic (awsome color), and a 2002 Silverado Indigo Blue Metallic (did I mention awsome color). The last 2 were identical w/ the exception of the tires and Z71 decals.

My new ride is a 2007 Sierra SLE Z71 ext cab, black in color. Not crazy about the color (with all the work that goes along with it) but the price was right. It's got almost every factory option w/ the exception of leather seats. :D So far I've added Iron Cross SS step tubes and bull bar and a LEER cap. Thinkin about some striping (to cut the black a bit, theres and awefull lot of it on this monster of a truck). A cat back exhaust is somewhere in its future as well, just not quite sure which one yet, lookin to improve performance and sound but don't want to hurt towing capabilities either. I have also considered the Rancho Quick lift system as I would eventually like to throw on a set of 285 or 305 Mickey Thompsons (had em on my 99 and 02 trucks, look good and wear great too).

Any way enough about the truck gotta start preppin' the HOG for spring, the snow is melting a its almost riding weather(1 or 2 more rains and the sand and salt will be off the road). Lookin forward to pulling some advise off this forum when it comes time for the next ad ons. When things slow down a bit I'll Post a few pics.
