07 Component Install?

hi, i bought a component system for my 07 crew cab. anyone have a pic or walkthrough on removing door panels or what to do since the old speakers had a nice cone to meet up to the panel grill? i plan on just putting the new tweeters where the old ones are in the pillar. i just dont want to screw up my truck. and no i dont want to take it anywhere, i fig thats what this site is for to help eachother out. thanks

Check out the audio section. There are more than a few threads in there that discuss speaker swaps like you want to do. Here is a link for the door panel removal.

 

When installing the tweeters you may have to mod the holes in the A pillar to get them to fit right.

 

To get the new speaker to meet up with the speaker panel nicely, you could either build a spacer to bring the new speakers forward. Or, depending on the size of the new speakers, you could remove the old speakers from their mounts and then mount the new speakers in their place. Here is another link on that.
