Interior Air Filter

Recommended Posts

My 2002 Silverado does not blow as much air out the dash vents as it used to.

Last time I had this problem the garage replaced the internal air filter.

Does anybody have instructions on how to do this so I can do it myself?

Thanks

I don't remember the exact instructions but it was pretty easy to access on the passenger footwell down under the glovebox.

located inside the evaporator box under the passenger side of the dash. It will take a 7/32 socket to remove the screw that holds the cover closed.

It's actually a 7mm socket that's required. Search for cabin air filter if the above link doesn't work, it's been discussed many times.
