Turning Off The Auto Off Interior Lights?

Hello folks.

I have an 05 Silverado and am wondering if there is any way to disable the auto off feature of the interior lights and radio. Here is the situation: I take my lunch and breaks at work in my truck. I play chess with a co worker during our down time in my truck ( since the arseholes that don't know how to play like moving pieces while we are away if we play in the break room). So, after 10 minutes my interior lights and radio auto shut off. Now I know that all I have to do is cycle the key in the ignition to turn the lights and radio back on but this is becoming such a pain!!! Any ideas??

TIA

I just leave the key in the 'run' position (with the truck not running). Just remember it's like that, or you'll kill the battery (trust me, I know... :nonod:).

Look for the "RAP" module and remove it. (retained accessory power).

Note that it may effect other systems operation. I have no idea where it is either.

Mine died in my Caddy and the delay for the lights, radio, antenna etc. failed

to work.

Its just a shot in the dark anyhoo...................

Ya, if you leave the key in the accessory position, they will stay on forever, or until the battery dies, whichever comes first.
