Abs Sensor Replacement For 2001 2500 4x4 Burb

Can the ABS sensor be replaced without also replacing the entire hub assembly?

Front wheels.

My 92 factory service manual says you need to take apart the whole works to get to the sensor, then it says "splash shield and sensor". It is not clear if the splash shield is a part of the sensor or if you can just get the sensor and fasten it on to the splash shield.

 

So remove tire/wheel, brakes, rotor, disconnect sensor wire, then you can remove the splash shield along with the sensor.

Yes,I've done both fronts on my '95 Burb,if they are the same as yours I have pics....let me know and I'll post 'em
