My Ford Owner Son

My son who bought a Ford Powerchoke and likes to expound about the excellent qualities of Ford uses any and every opportunity to drive my 94 and loves it like a kid at Christmas. Mama says he has an ear to ear $hit eating grin the whole time he is behind the wheel and pontificates how Ford should have used the NV4500. Always says things like "Let's take Art's truck, you'll be more comfortable. Of course you will be more comforatable riding in a Ford truck is Bhraman bull rodeo adventure. Just thought I'd share. Why couldn't he have just used hard drugs or something similar and less embarrassing. I need a hug.

Well Art,kids can only be led to water,you can't make 'em drink.You've no doubt given him guidence and love and all the things you can but when he buys a Ferd over a GM(wasn't it just a few months ago?) you just gotta let go..... today my son and I are going to pick up a '69 Chevy 3/4 ton Chevy LB he's buying from a co-worker for $400.It doesn't run right now so we'll have to load it up on a trailer and bring it home.It's got a 350 in it so it shouldn't take too much to get it runnin'.But at least it's a Chevy.I'll post some pics when we get it home....again Art I feel your pain,my daughter has an Expedition

Yep,I had a '67 and loved it.I can't wait to see this '69...seen cell phone pics and the body looks pretty straight...

Jack away. Talking classic Chevrolet is good therapy. I had a 67 and a 69, both six bangers. The 69 was named Gretel and was a hell of a hard working truck. Started out life with a 396 but by the time it found its way to me it had a powerglide mated to a 250. Ran the heck out of that truck and sold it to a buddy who did the same. I have seen some classic Chevy trucks in the Boise area priced right and when I am home for good I'll take one on. I enjoy tinkering in the shop. Mechanical marital aid so to speak.

hey atleast its american although i disagree with the petty ford is better then chevy shit...there is a reason why GMTs have outsold fords for years, they just don't have the nuts to admit that sierras are the same as silvys in the counting process
